Instagram Reel: Pieces Arrive at Their Homes

Posted August 7, 2026

Each Scaffolding Study carries an invitation on its back: a small scaffolding log, a space to write what you wish this piece to hold for you. What journey do you want it to scaffold? What do you want to remember, even in the hard moments? There's no rush. Write when you're ready.

And if you feel moved — I warmly welcome you to share your voice.

A private audio message (heard only by me) is one way. These private shares may be transcribed and woven anonymously into future artwork, representing the collective journey we are walking together.

A shared video is another. If you feel comfortable, sharing where your piece lives and what it means to you allows others to witness your space, your scaffolding, your phoenix. To see that we are a circle, across time and space.

Either way, the act of speaking it aloud is its own ceremony. A blessing. An incantation of strength for your journey. By giving voice to what you are scaffolding, you are nourishing that intention — and adding your thread to what we are weaving together.

The art is the journey of connection. Thank you for being part of it.

I've been saying it all along: the art is us being together. The tangible objects are just portals to that.

But actually feeling that take shape — instead of just thinking about it — has been something else entirely.

This week, the Scaffolding Studies have been arriving at their homes. And receiving the photos, messages, and videos back has surprised me in the best way. Watching a piece land on someone's wall, among all the other things that scaffold their life and journey — that's when I understood, in my body, what this work actually is.
